Charming and functional. Small ironstone pieces lend themselves to so many uses. This vintage French dish served mustard but is right at home presenting your jam, mayonnaise, or crème fraîche. She is in beautiful vintage condition with a lovely cocoa-colored transferware design of chestnuts and berries. A forager’s dream. There’re slight imperfections and crazing in the glaze as is expected from authentic vintage ironstone but there are no cracks or chips. There is no maker’s mark. A lovely find at a local brocante here in southwest France this past summer.
