This sweet pair whispers the month of May to me. It is from my personal collection of treasures I found while living in Berlin. Both are marked “KPM” on the bottom. Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur (Royal Porcelain Factory) is the oldest porcelain maker in Europe. I might even say it is the most prized by collectors. Founded by Friedrich the Great, the Berlin company has been making porcelain by hand for more than 255 years.

You will love the delicate handpainted roses. There is appropriate wear to the gold rims given their age. However, there are no cracks or chips. Both are ready to serve. Imagine the sugar bowl holding prized lilac sugar on your next brunch table.

The creamer is 5 inches (13 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) tall.

The sugar bowl is 4 1/4 inches (11 cm) tall to the top of the lid and 6 inches (15 cm) wide including the handles.
