The Belle Epoque in Paris. You can image the age of bustles and grand celebrations. The 19th century also saw the start of sending postcards. At first the idea was a bit scandalous. Writing a note that anyone could read? But the idea of quickly sharing an experience with a loved one who was unable to be there in person caught on.

An album such as this would collect those memories together. They are rare given their fragility. I’m not sure if either of these albums ever held postcards. But they could hold your personal sketches, watercolor artwork, photographs, precious correspondence, or if you will - a collection of postcards.

They are in fair condition given their age, with wear to their linen spines. However, the pages are in very good antique condition. Their hand painted artwork of thistles on the cover is no less beautiful given that they are more more than 130-years-old.

There are two available: one in Dusty Rose and the other is in shades of Spring Green.
