Artist Painting Set with Mid Century Finds

$52.00

When I use beautiful tools, I am inspired. I love to give old objects new life as something completely different. Why not use a small brass ashtray to hold a bit of water and a brush for your watercolors? A mid century glass creamer is perfect to clean your brush. Two found porcelain dishes, in an ideal square shape, can hold handmade paint. And I find an ironstone platter is a wonderful palette for mixing oils and watercolors.

The result is an ensemble that is both vintage and modern. Together, this set inspires creativity with both its beauty and usefulness.

All of the pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips. The heavy vintage brass ashtray has a warm patina that glows and an emblem that I do not recognize. It feels wonderful in the hand. It measures 3 inches (17.5 cm) across. The glass creamer is a Jenna glass style but is unmarked. It measures 3 inches (17.5 cm) tall. The small, fluted porcelain dishes are 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) square. The square ironstone platter is 7 inches (18 cm) square. It is marked Schönwald Germany.” The platter and creamer are part of my personal collection found at a flohmarkt in Berlin. The other pieces are finds from here in southwest France.

Somehow, everyone gets along ;)

Paint, brushes, and tools are not included.
